The pacing is very slow but if you enjoy artsy Oscar movies, you should give this show a try. Centered around a scientific community, each episode feels like a more artful, less ominous Black Mirror. Jodie Foster directs the season finale.

What appeared to be a standard will-they won't-they love story, this series displayed a depth I wasn't expecting. Its graphic sex led to some controversy in Ireland, though less-so in America where it went straight to Hulu. I enjoyed it so much I'll read the book soon enough.

Last but not least, Apple TV+ offers this SNL spin-off which honestly sounded like a terrible idea, but once it gets passed the obvious American/European football jokes and the plot of Major League, the show has a truly optimistic and sincere voice similar to Bill Lawerence's other creation Scrubs.
